There’s a lot going on today in the gaming set for the horizon in 2011 to early 2012. Technology is becoming a great determinate in where consoles and games are heading. The new technology of 3D and HDTV has made games become a lot more realistic and a lot more interactive in the way they are played. This level of dynamics continues to change with each year.

The Wii U is that next level step of interactivity combining the easy play of the Nintendo Wii with touchscreen capabilities. The very unique thing about the Nintendo Wii is that you don’t need your TV to actually see what’s on display with the actual gaming console. The touchscreen allows for functionality which gives the game a different look compared to other next generation consoles. Huge titles are already in development for the console such as Pikmin 3 and a brand new Super Smash Bros. game to show off glimpses of the new power that the Wii U possesses.

The Tokyo Game Show is also on the horizon to show off some of the gaming that will take place later this year and early next year. One of the biggest titles to come out is the Street Fighter x Tekken title which is Capcom’s version of the game that combines both Street Fighter and Tekken into one. Everything from the animation, the fighting style, movements, and gameplay have changed to suit both sides. This is a huge title that people have been talking about for the past year and a half. At the Tokyo Game Show in September, there’s excepted to be at least 2-4 new characters revealed for the title.
